My Story
My name is Kevin Cooper, I live in Boulder, Colorado, and I am embarking on the third act of my life. In this third act of life, my purpose is to meet people where they are and to coach them to reach their desired goals.
The arc of my life has brought me to a place where my interest in humanity and my personal pitfalls have intersected to create a desire to help others.
I grew up in hardship and became self-reliant through struggle. I embarked on a 20-year career in the military and was witness to the most challenging complexities of human nature. During that time, I also had the opportunity to explore my love for athleticism and adventure. These formative experiences taught me how to face my fears and overcome obstacles.
Being a leader of men during periods of high stress and conflict taught me the importance of knowing myself. I learned firsthand that hardship is a powerful motivator to change and grow or freeze and stay mired in the past.
Exploring physical, emotional, and mental limits through running, cycling, climbing, mountaineering, and skiing throughout the world helped me develop an understanding of struggle through success and more importantly failure. My travels and experiences taught me the lesson of self-awareness through struggle and loneliness. These experiences also brought the greatest relationships and joy to my life. These two components shaped me into the person I am today and equipped me with a unique perspective and approach to explore, achieve, and deal with successes and failures.
In March of 2022, I contracted Covid-19 and after a relatively mild sickness, I developed the symptoms of long Covid, which forced me to explore and rely on aspects of myself that I didn’t know existed. The symptoms reset my physical abilities overnight and slowed me enough to create space to make changes in other aspects of my life that I never thought were possible. Once again, through hardship and struggle, I am becoming the person I always wanted to be.
I spent most of my life mentoring and coaching people from all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life. No two people are alike. Each person has their own unique set of challenges and powers. I have understood and utilized these two key pieces of information to help people fundamentally change their lives for the better.
If any of this resonates with you, let’s begin your journey to places you didn’t think you could go and to outcomes you didn’t think were possible.
